Below is the schedule for AAU Taekwondo Events in the Florida Gold Coast 2009 - 2010 Competition Year. More information on each event will be posted as it becomes available. In addition, we will be posting dates and information on other major events nation wide as they approach.
In order to participate in any AAU Taekwondo Competition,Officials must attend a local 2009 - 2010 Clinic. 2010 AAU Membership is also required. Coaches are now required to complete the online certification course at: www.aautaekwondo.org.
Pay special attention to deadlines for Registration for each of these events. Check back for any changes in event deatails as they get closer. Additionally, Our Tae Kwon Do event will be using Daedo True Score Electronic body protectors for ages 5 and over. Nationals and Junior Olympic Qualifier
The top 8 finishers in any division qualify to compete at the AAU Taekwondo Nationals held in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and the AAU Junior Olympics to be held in Hampton Roads, VA.- We will be using Match Tool Scoring Systems. The events are Team Forms, Forms, Olympic Sparring, and Point Sparring. The spectator fee for this event will be $10 over 12yrs, $5 Under 12yrs, Free 5yrs and under. Food will be available for purchase at the venues through Bobcat Dining
All schools please get your packets together (ALL YOUR STUDENTS) and send in payment (money order or certified check) payable to: Gerardo De Jesus, 6729 Simms St. Hollywood, Fl 33024. before March 17th 2010
Coaches must show proof of taking + passing the AAU 2010 online clinic (have to show your ID card). All coaches must wear the AAU blue coach’s shirt and any color warm up pants.
Early Athlete check in / weigh in Friday March 19, 6:00pm to 9:30pm @ Fernandez Center (skip the line come to the early check in)

This event, hosted by Master Do, will be using the Daedo and LaJust (your choice) Electronic body protectors.This event will feature Poomse, Competition Poomse, and Olympic Sparring for all ages and all ranks.
